Two-factor authentication (2FA) is an additional security layer that protects your account by requiring a temporary code generated by an authentication app, in addition to your password. You can access it through the authentication section of your personal account. Enabling 2FA is highly recommended to improve account security and protect data from unauthorized access.
Enable 2FA
- Go to the “Authentication” tab in the Account section.
- In the Two-factor authentication section, click “Enable”.
- You will be asked for your account password to confirm the operation. Enter it and click “Continue”.
- A QR code will be shown to scan with an authenticator app (e.g., Google Authenticator, Authy).
- If the app does not support QR scanning, you can manually enter the displayed Setup Key.
- Once the account is configured in the authenticator app, enter the generated OTP code and click “Confirm”.
- Two-factor authentication will now be active. Recovery codes After enabling 2FA, a set of recovery codes will be generated. These codes are used to access the account if you do not have access to the authentication app. Save these codes in a safe place, such as a password manager or an encrypted file. If you lose the codes, you can regenerate them with the “Regenerate recovery codes” button.
Disable 2FA
If you want to disable two-factor authentication:
- Go to the Two-factor authentication section.
- Click the “Disable” button.
- You will be asked for your account password to confirm the deactivation.
