Notification settings on Android – specific differences
Compared to the iOS version, Android includes two additional settings to ensure notifications work correctly. These settings are essential to ensure proper reception of emergency calls and important alerts on Android devices.
Selective alert tone
Allows you to choose the type of sound for important notifications:
- Classic: standard sound.
- Loud: louder sound for emergencies.
- Low: discreet sound.
There is a “SEND TEST NOTIFICATION” button to test the selected audio configuration. If the device receives the notification, the system is configured correctly.
Troubleshooting notification reception
iOS (iPhone)
The phone does not ring
Using Apple Watch: If you are using an Apple Watch paired with your iPhone, notifications may be routed only to the watch and not ring the phone. Make sure to manage the Apple Watch notification settings correctly, choosing whether to receive notifications on both devices or only on the iPhone.
Device change
When migrating from an old iPhone to a new one, it is essential to log out and log back in to the ActivePager app so the new device starts receiving push notifications correctly.
Android
Settings indicators
It is mandatory that all indicators in settings are green to ensure notifications work correctly. Always verify this condition in the app settings.

If notifications still do not arrive even with all indicators green:
- Log out of the app.
- Completely remove the app from the device.
- Restart the phone.
- Reinstall the ActivePager app from the Play Store.
- Log in again and set all indicators in settings to green.
Following these instructions should restore notification reception.
